A Little Goes A Long Way
I went to get my hair done today. I’m not really a high-maintenance, highly processed kinda gal…any more (ask me about my early 20’s) but I occasionally like to get some highlights and my ponytail needs to be shaped into something a little more attractive every once in a while. And today was the day. Thank God. I was looking (and feeling) a bit shaggy around the edges but she fixed me right up and I look like a productive member of society again! She convinced me to at least trim the ends (I looooove long hair), put some layers in it and gave me some beautiful new highlights. I may be gray under there…who knows? Not me!
It’s a far cry from the waxed-highlighted-trimmed-shaped-manicured-to-within-an-inch-of-my-life shot at perfection of my 20’s but it is really nice to feel presentable again. Not the most hip-lookin’ mommy around but not the least hip, either. At least my two inches of roots no longer show when I put my hair in a ponytail. And you’ve gotta like that because, with a one-year-old, my hair is always in a ponytail.Â
As nice as it always is to go get something done for me, it’s always better to come home and have The Tot make “happy noises” and reach her arms out for me. The best thing in the world.

can’t wait to see what it looks like!
I got my hair trimmed recently too; I meant for it to look “different” than usual but it turned out looking mostly the same. I am always in search for a solution for my “triangle head”. (flat at the top, heavy at the bottom – my hair, that is.) Still searching…
