Yesterday was a good day. I didn’t feel destroyed all day and like I could take a nap if I was given even the slightest opportunity. Tater Tot was in a good mood all day and took “redirection” well (read: didn’t throw too much of a fit if I told her “no”). We got our grocery shopping done. The Daddy came home early from work. We had a fun play date with an unexpected surprise that Tater Tot loved. And she went to bed on time even though she took an afternoon nap. Yes, you read that right. She actually slept in the afternoon. I even had to wake her up from her nap so that her bedtime wouldn’t get screwed up. Wonder of all wonders.

Our friends B and Z came over yesterday to play on our newly renovated patio and Tater Tot had a lot of fun! She was so cute when she saw Z. She got such a big grin on her face. It was fun to see them notice each other while they were playing. They did “share” a ball without any drama, which was nice but they basically “parallel played”. I get such a kick out of seeing them grow and play. A little before they had to leave, a sprinkler came on that is in our community pool area but apparently the gardners adjusted it when they were there yesterday and it sprayed over the fence into our patio area. Hmmm…not so great for our patio but Tater Tot LOVED it! She stood under it giggling and prancing around until she was drenched! Since it’s a little slippery on the concrete patio, I think I’m going to put one of those sprinklers you attach to your hose on the lawn by the side of our house and let The Tot run around in that when it gets hot. Bring my lawn chair out there and kick back with her. Heck, maybe I’ll just sit under the sprinkler while she runs around! I’m all about easy when it gets hot.
