Duh, Mommy. Yeah, it’s roasting here and it’s only 5:50am. Blech. I am not going one more summer without air conditioning. It only gets this bad one month out of the year but how MISERABLE am I for that one month? So incredibly miserable you can’t believe it. It’s supposed to be 87 degrees again today at the coast. Since we’re a couple miles inland, it’ll get to 90 no problem. And the Tater Tot can’t/won’t sleep downstairs so she’s basically sleeping in a sauna. I’ve tried putting a fan in her room but it freaks her out. So my new goal for the year is to save enough money for air conditioning by next summer. That’s like saying I’m going to get blood from a turnip because you can’t save what you don’t have but I will find a way. Except I won’t sell my Tiffany’s jewelry. I draw the line at the jewelry.
Luckily it’s going to cool down a couple of degrees a day this week so, by week’s end, we might even be comfortable again.
