You are right though... haven't considered the "weaning" yet. Our main traditions are first that we do a Christmas breakfast instead of dinner, with all the yummy stuff including homemade waffles from scratch! Our other tradition is that I buy 2 new ornaments every year (both the same ornament) that describes what my daughter liked to do that year, I put one on the tree and keep on in it's box and place that in a box with her other ornaments. That way when she gets married she can have a ton of ornaments right off the bat! I hated not having any when we first got married, so I really like this tradition for her.
